myPM Merge: General FAQ

WHY DOES myPM MERGE FAIL TO RECOGNISE MDAC VERSION 2.6 OR HIGHER IS INSTALLED?
If MDAC version 2.6 or higher is installed and working, this error may be caused by myPM Merge being unable to access the MS Windows Registry.
To resolve this error, log in to MS Windows using an Administrator Account, and try running myPM Merge again.

WHY DOES myPM MERGE FAIL TO RECOGNISE ONE OR MORE MS JET OLE DB PROVIDERS ARE INSTALLED?
If one or more MS JET OLE DB Providers are installed, this error may be caused by myPM Merge being unable to access the MS Windows Registry.
To resolve this error, log in to MS Windows using an Administrator Account, and try running myPM Merge again.

WHY DOES myPM MERGE FAIL TO RECOGNISE MS EXCEL ( 97, 2000, XP, 2003 ) IS INSTALLED AND WORKING?
If MS Excel ( 97, 2000, XP ) is installed and working, this error may be caused by myPM Merge being unable to access the MS Windows Registry.
To resolve this error, log in to MS Windows using an Administrator Account, and try running myPM Merge again.

WHY DOES myPM MERGE FAIL TO RECOGNISE MS WORD ( 97, 2000, XP, 2003 ) IS INSTALLED AND WORKING?
If MS Word ( 97, 2000, XP ) is installed and working, this error may be caused by myPM Merge being unable to access the MS Windows Registry.
To resolve this error, log in to MS Windows using an Administrator Account, and try running myPM Merge again.

WHY DOESN'T myPM MERGE PROCESS ALL THE RECORDS IN THE SOURCE FILE?
If myPM Merge is not registerd, only the first ten (10) records in the Source File are processed. To process all records contained in the Source File, register myPM Merge. If the Merge Filter is enabled, ensure at least one or more Source File records meet the defined criteria.

WHY CAN'T I RUN TWO OR MORE COPIES ( INSTANCES ) OF myPM MERGE AT THE SAME TIME?
Only one instance of myPM Merge can be active at any one time.
This prevents possible corruption of the MS Windows Registry and / or myPM Merge Data File ( *.mmu ).

HOW DO I TERMINATE myPM MERGE IF IT FREEZES?
myPM Merge may freeze while communicating with MS Access, MS Excel, or MS Word.
If this happens, use the Windows Task Manager ( CTRL + ALT + DEL ) to terminate the myPM Merge application / process.
You may also need to use the Windows Task Manager to terminate MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word.
